I apologize to all my fans out there, but this will be my last blog! It was nice being able to blog about video games and sharing each other opinions. I'm gonna have to retire as a blogger and take a vacation for the next 2 months, but who knows I might come back and decide to reblog on another subject!
So quickly I'm gonna talk about how much video games mean to me. Video games been apart my whole life been playing since my childhood and no planning on to stop. It has help me in plenty of ways. It has been a stress reliever throughout my childhood, also has improve my ability to separate school work and my hobby!
To conclude I hope my blog helped everyone know that video games are fun and a teaching lesson. And I hope everyone got a idea on some video games that I have talked about.
First thing that comes in mind when I hear arcade is Pacman! The most classic and simple game that everyone must have played or heard of. Pacman was a old arcade game but I remember when I was a kid they had a wired device that you can plug into your PlayStation 2 and play some Pacman! To me it was the most classical game and so competitive I remember the days me and my brother would play for hours just trying to beat each other's record. This game had a lot of good memories, and now walking into a brand new arcade and I can not find find Pacman the kids in this generation are missing out! Now a days a arcade type of game like Pacman isn't fun anymore compared to a video game on your PlayStation or Xbox!
Pacman was released (1) May 22 1980. As you can see this game is very old, it was legendary. A game that's still being played today, not as much as before but its still putting happiness in the life of people like me. I Personally think this game is fun because its unbeatable theirs no end to the game. Also how you can compete with other people that who has the best record. Basically this game is just fun! Not like every other game i talked about you could find easily, but if you ever visit a arcade and it had Pacman i suggest you play it. I promise you it would be worth your money and time and it wouldn't be the last time you play this game, you would want to play it over and over again.
Sims 3is a game you will love at moments and unfortunately get bored of quickly! The reason why I say you would get bored of this game is in result of the game is very repetitive. But don't let that stop you from playing this game, because me personally I love playing this game. My favourite part is creating a character and their imaginary world. In this blog I'm going to explain why I like playing this game but also how I get bored so quickly.
First of all, I'm going to talk about my experience with this game. In my opinion the best part about this video game is building your house. Basically you can build your dream house that you always hoped and wanted. There's a million different ways to build your house in this game because they have plenty of options and different kinds of materials to build it. For example, if you want a carpet, tile or wood you are free to do so. You can also build a garden, do your lawn, everything you can imagine. The building part of Sims 3 just makes this game so fun!
Now for the boring part, this game is really repetitive. The one thing I don't like is after you build your house and get settled in your new home there really isn't anything else to do after that. what's repetitive is that, you have to work, come back home, make dinner then sleep. The same actions get repeated over and over again. I understand that they tried to make this game realistic compared to life. The thing that gets frustrating is you don't see what's happening at work you have to wait till he's done. I think for the next Sims that they create, the gamers should be able to go to work with our Sims characters. Also, when it comes time to class we do the schooling for our Sims ourself.
What is the
best game on your phone to ever be created? If I were to anwser that question
it would be Flappy Bird! A game on your phone that you can play in the car or
waiting at the doctor’s. Basicallyyou can play this game anywhere you want all you
need is a phone! The only sad thing about this game is that it was that it has
been removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play on February 10 2014.(1)
So if you didn't download this game already you shouldn't be getting your hopes
up to play it!
Let's talk
about the reason why this game was removed from the world! The creator of this
game is (1) Dong Nguyen. He was also the
one who decided to take down the game and I respect his decision. (2) Nguyen
took the game down because of how addicting it was, Nguyen wasn't able to sleep
because of this app. According to him it was not a mistake to remove Flappy
Birds and I agree because it was the most addicting game I have ever played in
my life! At one point I was playing it for fun and to beat my high score. It
took plenty of hours out of my day when I could have done something useful, so
I started to regret playing this game but it was just so addicting that I
couldnt stop. Once Nguyen has removed Flappy Bird from the Apple App Store and
Google Play, people went crazy and started to buy phones who had already had
the game downloaded. They started to buy phones that costed a couple hundred
more but they felt the phone was worth
just to play that game! Basically this game corrupted the minds of some people.
As much as I hate this game cause it killed my social life for a good period of
time, I still do think it was the best game to ever be created on a phone.
Soccer Soccer Soccer! In my opinion it is the world's most famous sport. (1) Fifa 14 topped the charts January 25 for being the most selling game in the United Kingdom. This video game was released, September 24 2013. (2) I believe this game was on the top of the charts because of the gameplay and realistic graphics.
The gameplay in Fifa soccer 14 was spectacular! What has impressed me the most is all the fancy moves you can do with the ball. In a sport where there's a lot of movement such as soccer, you would think that it would be more complicated to play on a console. Although, I think it's the easiest sport game to play. EA Sports has done a great job making this game simple to play. It's not a game were you have to play it plenty of times to be good at, that's what I love about it. I'm not the biggest soccer fan but I love the game because it's fun and competitive so everyone can play. Finally, my favorite part of the game is celebrating after a goal! You get the options to do plenty of different celebration to rub it in your opponent's face, I love it!
Since we touched base on the gameplay next I'm going to be talking about how realistic this game is! Everyone has probably watched a soccer game and after playing this game, would agree with me on this one. What I have realized watching soccer games are that the fans can be a big factor in the sport. They are always cheering and chanting like it's a party in the stands. EA Sports has focused so much this year on the fans and made sure they look just as real then the players and in Fifa 14. While you're playing you actually feel like you're on the field and all those fans are cheering for you! To me it not only made this game good but great. Even the smallest things can make the biggest difference. The fans go crazy after scoring a goal just like in real life which causes a change of atmosphere after a goal is scored. It's amazing how far Fifa 14 has come and I know the game can only get better therefore I can't wait to play Fifa 15!
EA Sports Fight Night Round 3, is my favourite fighting games.
Cause of theses 2 reasons the legends you could play with and the
realistic graphic. This game was (1) released February 20 2006, for a
game that's 8 years old! It's still a game that I enjoyed playing. Let's start with who's in this game. You got the bests boxers to
ever step in the ring. Like Muhammad Ali, Bernard Hopkins, Joe
Frazier and my favourite Roy Jones Jr. For those people like me who
has never seen some of theses boxers fight, will finally get the
chance to experience through the game. It's so detailed that EA
Sports use that orthodox stance that some boxer would use to fight
their opponent such a Muhammad Ali. What shocks me is how usually a
sports game where there's a lot of movement, they would have the
fighter come in and go through a whole bunch of series to make the
movement in the game identical as real life. Muhammad Ali a man who
has Parkinson and was at the (2) age of 63 it would be physically
impossible for him to go through those test. EA Sport has done a
fantastic job at creating the legends for this video game. Second of all, the realistic graphic in this game is incredible. I
played it for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and for both systems the
quality is amazing. The knockouts are so realistic you see the blood
an sweat after getting hit with a hay maker! At the end of each round
you have to fix those cuts and maintain that swelling that looks so
realistic, round by round you see how worst the cuts and swelling
will get. Also you can see by the body language in the corner if your
boxer is tired that's one thing I enjoyed once you see how your
opponents is tired it changes your strategy you would want to come
out stronger after the break it helps a lot if your competing against
a friend. This games graphic for a game that's 8 years old is
incredible I still play it today with a bunch of friends. This isn't the first fight night or the last but to me this one
was my favourite! For those who are interested to buy it and try it
out, I'm pretty sure it would be cheap cause it's 8 years old. Just
don't let the fact how it's 8 years old discourage you to buy this
game trust me you would enjoy this game.
Would you believe me if I said a video game could get you that amazing body you've always wanted! Well there's finally a game like that, called Kinect Training is fun and it does make you break a sweat. Weights aren't necessary but you do receive a free personal trainer that's pushing you threw each workout. Making sure you get all the techniques right.
In my opinion, everyone that wants to get in shape or stay in shape during their off-season of a sport should buy this game. You have a selection of 3 goals to obtain in Kinect Training: Get Strong, Get Lean and Get Toned. Each of theses workouts are based on plyometrics. For people that are wondering what's plyometrics it is know as jump training. It's a different way to workout while barely ever using any weights. Some of the major athletes in the world use plyometrics to train their sport. Soccer, Rugby, Racket Sports, Martial Arts and basketball, all of theses sports make use of plyometrics. Basically any sport that has constant moving could be benefit with plyo. This proves that Kinect Training is getting you ready to lose all that weight and become the athlete you always imagined to be.
One thing that caught my attention, is how every week the workouts are getting more intense, to help you obtain your goal you have chosen. Who would want to repeat the same exercises over and over again it just won't be any fun. With Kinect Training it gives you a different variety of workouts such as, you have upper body core and lower body workout. Also, have you ever imagined we would find a fitness workout in technology of virtual gaming because I didn't. Although, once it was released it wasn't that big of a surprise, there was plenty of criticism because of all the glitches. For example, the off seconds, if u moved to the left it would take a second for the kinect to register that movement. Later on, Kinect Training has overcome all the glitch problems like the off seconds movements and was able to release the game October 30, 2012.(1) No doubt in my opinion it is the best Kinect game so far. For those people that want to workout at home and not buy a gym membership and pay that monthly fee you should get this game!
